The international conference for the salt industry

29–30 November 2018 InterContinental Grand Stanford, Hong Kong

Salt Asia 2018

Key Conference Highlights:

Salt Asia 2018 is sponsored and endorsed by the China Salt Association and the CSA’s Chairman Mr Mao Qing Guo will deliver a keynote address at the conference updating delegates on the latest news and trends in the China salt market. Mr Mao will also lead a delegation of members of the China Salt Association to attend the conference.

In less than a decade Asia is forecast to account for 53% of global demand for salt, from under half today, with the Chinese chloralkali industry the key driver of this growth. To explore the factors behind this growth and analyse its implications for the salt industry worldwide, Roskill will host the Salt Asia 2018 conference in Hong Kong on November 29–30th.

Speakers and delegates from China and across Asia will be joined by their international counterparts at the Inter-Continental Grand Stanford Hotel on the Kowloon waterfront in Hong Kong.

In many end-user categories Asia is the most dominant market already and the region is estimated to account for almost two-thirds of global salt consumption in food and food processing because of its population size and high per capita use.

In recognition of the importance of Asia to world salt supply/demand, Roskill is hosting a salt conference in Asia for the first time, building on its successful conferences in Europe and the Middle East. Drawing extensively on high profile speakers from China, India and elsewhere in Asia, the conference is your opportunity to hear first-hand what developments are planned and where the opportunities for business in Asia lie.

Salt Asia 2018 will be jointly chaired by Kerry Satterthwaite, division manager of Roskill and Vladimir Sedivy, president of Salt Partners. In addition to presentations from an array of high profile speakers on the latest commercial developments across the industry there will also be a range of papers on processing and technical matters to help the salt industry keep its operations cost efficient.

The event will offer participants from the salt industry many opportunities for networking and business. If your business is salt, you should take advantage of this opportunity to network with our targeted audience.

Who should attend?

  • Equipment and machinery suppliers
  • Plant managers
